6020A Active Speaker
The Genelec 6020A was in production between 2005 and 2010.
The 6020A is ideal for small home theatres, multimedia or game rooms and for normal stereo use. It features RCA input connector and automatic power management. To extend the low frequency output, 6020A can be connected with the 5050A subwoofer.
6020A has a die-cast aluminium Minimum Diffration Enclosure (MDE™) that enables the speaker to have remarkably large internal volume in relation to its external size. The die-cast structure is mechanically strong and acoustically rigid, and the softly rounded corners of the enclosure eliminate the reflections caused by the edges of the cabinet. It also features the renewed Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™), which is designed around the treble element. It enables a very flat frequency response as well as listening to the axis and aside of it. The long and curved reflex port ends as an expanding hole behind the speaker resulting in excellent accurate of the bass without disturbing flow sounds. Due to these solutions the 6020A Stereo image precision and bass are exceptionally good in relation to the external dimensions of the speaker.
The speaker has a 4” woofer and a 3/4" tweeter placed in Genelec’s advanced Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™). Versatile room response controls allow placing the speaker in difficult acoustic environments. The free field frequency response is 66 Hz - 20 kHz (± 2.5 dB). The maximum peak acoustic output measured from 1m distance with music material is 105 dB.
The 6020A offers many mounting options that allow easy wall and ceiling positioning. A large variety of wall and ceiling mounts are available for easy mounting in different configurations.
The 6020A was in production between 2005 and 2010. It was replaced by the G Two model.
