1036A Studio Monitor
The Genelec 1036A was in production between 1997 and 2015.
The 1036A's three channels of power amplification, active crossovers, precise room response controls and protection circuitry are all combined in a large 19" equipment rack. The large enclosure contains dual 18" drivers, two proprietary midrange drivers hand-made at Genelec and a very low distortion compression driver. The 1036A Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) has been optimized in surface area to allow for outstanding frequency response on- and off-axis, as well as stable and neutral sound imaging in all acoustical environments.
The 1036A is the highest reference in main monitoring for music recording studios, film and video post-production facilities as well as mastering suites. It was in production between 1997 and 2015. It was replaced by the 1236A model.
