New Symetrix Intelligent Module offers closer integration with Genelec Smart IP family
The Symetrix Control Library is the premier source for high-quality, customized third-party control and logic modules. This free resource allows engineers and system designers to easily browse, download and install approved solutions for integration with Symetrix-powered DSP systems.
Combining exceptional sound quality and single-cable networked convenience, the Genelec Smart IP family encompasses wall, ceiling and pendant loudspeaker models – complemented by the pioneering new 3440A PoE subwoofer – all of which can be combined freely on a Dante or AES67 network for a completely scalable full-range audio solution.
Compatible with the entire Smart IP range, the new Intelligent Module from Symetrix opens powerful IP-based communication between devices – allowing monitoring and control of each loudspeaker and making this accessible to end users via a control screen or other Symetrix control devices. The Intelligent Module controls loudspeaker gain, mute, active status and device identification, and also supports monitoring of input and output level, operation mode, PoE status, CPU temperature and a number of other important system diagnostics.
A particularly notable feature is the ability to daisy-chain ‘leader’ and ‘follower’ modules. Once modules are linked, changes to one module can be synced to all the other modules in the system – which makes the simultaneous adjustment of multiple loudspeakers extremely simple.
