Genelec wins IABM Environmental Sustainability Award
Acting as an authoritative voice for broadcast and media, IABM helps the industry’s key players to network and interact, ensuring the availability of essential information, services and facilities to encourage broad discussion and collaboration.
As with previous years, IABM’s Annual Conference – held in London earlier this month – was brought to a joyful close with the prestigious awards ceremony and dinner, a vibrant celebration of the industry’s most influential people and companies. IABM’s carefully selected series of awards are set out to recognise important achievements and innovation in the field, from exceptional products to strides in sustainable operation and training of personnel, with each category’s winner judged by IABM’s distinguished panel of experts.
In another proud moment for Genelec and our sustainability efforts – for which we’ve received a string of notable awards in recent years – IABM’s judges decided to honour us with the Environmental Sustainability Award based on a thorough assessment of our real-life delivery on our sustainability promises.
The IABM team commented: “Genelec’s sustainability commitment is pervasive to everything they do – from how they source their raw materials, such as using recycled aluminium, to manufacturing, to solar panels on the roof, and to establishing a “certified pre-owned" business which avoids the all-too-common throw-away mentality. This company has a deep commitment that runs throughout their business. If all companies had this ethos, we’d all be in a better place.”
To everyone involved in this wonderful recognition, we’d like to extend a very warm ‘thank you’.
