Genelec powers immersive wave at German Songwriting Awards
Created to support artists, producers, songwriters and engineers worldwide, We Create Music gives music makers the rare opportunity to pitch their music directly to some of the industry’s most influential decision-makers. As part of their efforts, the organisation’s German Songwriting Awards asks artists to submit their songs, which are then reviewed by expert judges and awarded prizes.
Immersive Audio was a hot topic at the ceremony, so we offered attendees a chance to listen to a perfectly calibrated 7.1.4 The Ones Smart Active Monitoring system, which we set up in collaboration with Dolby. This gave them the unmissable opportunity to experience a wide range of incredible songs mixed in Dolby Atmos – and to discover the massive creative potential of immersive audio.
One of our event highlights was the fascinating listening session held for the jury of the Best Immersive Mix Award. The variety of songs in the final was enormous, and the overall quality of the mixes and productions was exceptional. Our warmest congratulations to every nominee!
