Genelec Monitors a Müst for Songwriting Camp

The spectacular Grand Hotel in Taipei was the location for the recent Müst songwriting camp, which Genelec was proud to support in conjunction with our Taiwanese partner Advancetek.
Müst is the local musical copyright society which manages musical rights in Taiwan, and the week-long camp drew around 50 participants from across Asia, Europe and the US, with 4 complete days of writing, and a day for auditioning the material written. The goal was to write 30 original songs that could then be offered to other artists to record.

The Grand’s hotel rooms were turned into impromptu studios, all equipped with Genelec monitors and Audio Technica microphones, to allow the camp guests to collaborate together on writing and record their songs. The ability to tailor Genelec monitors to the room environment via their rear-panel room correction controls now makes them the go-to choice for camps working in this kind of temporary recording environment.
Good luck to all the participants, and we wish them every success with the songs that they created during their time at the camp!
