2024 AES 6th International Conference on Audio for Games
27. - 29.4.2024
There, Genelec Japan’s friendly team of experts will offer you the chance to audition a 7.1.4 immersive system consisting of our ‘The Ones’ Smart Active Monitors (SAM) and 7370A Smart Active Subwoofer, calibrated by GLM software – while Genelec R&D Director Aki Mäkivirta will deliver a special lecture on the 27th.
The immersive system, located in the Gold Sponsor Room, incorporates our recently-launched 9320A SAM Reference Controller, which offers flexible connectivity, a reference grade headphone output and physical control of our adaptive technologies, making it the ideal hub for professional audio work – from stereo to immersive – in any space. Through the 9320A, you’ll also have the opportunity to experience our Aural ID software, which offers tailored personal monitoring over headphones – with an accurate spatial representation mirroring that of in-room monitoring.
As elements of our UNIO concept, SAM Monitoring, the 9320A, our GLM calibration software and Aural ID software combine to offer a truly integrated loudspeaker and personal monitoring solution, enabling professionals to optimise their workflow and create mixes that translate with maximal consistency.
Genelec R&D Director Aki Mäkivirta’s lecture, held on the 27th and entitled the ‘Significance of representing torso and individualised head location in HRTF’, will delve into the subject of using highly detailed Head Related Transfer Function data, which is a key strength of Aural ID – and the future of personal monitoring.
